About

University of the West of England

UWE Bristol is a University Alliance university with a common mission to make the difference to our cities and regions. We use our experience of providing high quality teaching and research with real world impact to shape higher education and research policy for the benefit of our students and business and civic partners. We innovate together, learn from each other and support every member to transform lives and deliver growth.  As a university, we have won praise from the UK’s City Growth Commission for fuelling economic growth by ‘pioneering progressive practices’.

UWE Bristol organises a number of events and activities, and runs exciting schemes and awards in order to help raise aspirations, attainment and awareness of higher education and progression to UWE Bristol at all levels of learning, from Pre-16 to Post-16.  The university actively supports the armed forces community through delivery of a Wiltshire based Children’s UniversityTM  programme led by UWE and funded by the Forces Children Education Trust (FCET) formerly the Royal School Hampstead Trust.
