The SCiP Alliance is pleased to announce its inaugural research seminar.
Service children (the children of current and former military personnel) demonstrate strengths and advantages arising from their experiences. Yet, due to the distinctiveness of military life, they may have to work harder than their non-Service peers to achieve the same educational outcomes.
The SCiP Alliance has therefore identified as a priority the need to understand the distinctive aspects of Service children’s educational experiences. This is in order to help inform practitioners, policymakers and others in supporting Service children to achieve to their full potential.
This seminar is an opportunity to hear about emerging research in relation to the educational experiences and outcomes for Service children. It is also an opportunity to meet and network with other researchers in the field, and to discuss your recent and current research. You will also have the opportunity to help inform the future direction of research into the educational experiences of Service children.
There is no charge for attendance, and lunch will be provided.
Book your place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please advise of any dietary requirements or access needs when booking.
We are welcoming proposals for research posters to be displayed on the day. Please email a brief abstract (no more than 300 words) to Michael.email@example.com.
