ESTABLISHING THE SCIP ALLIANCE IMPACT CENTRE

Why this project matters

The development of the SCiP Alliance’s Impact Centre capacity creates two essential capacities for the sector. First, to provide evaluation support and training to the practitioners, funders, and policy makers who work to support Service children. Second, to conduct specific projects based on sector need to develop the evidence-base of what works.

Through this project we establish the Impact Centre as a go-to resource for supporting evidencing needs for anyone who works with Service children.

Timeline: 2025 - 2027

What we’re aiming to achieve

  • Establish the SCiP Alliance Impact Centre as the go-to resource for supporting evaluation needs.
  • Support evidence mobilisation (practice to research, research to practice) for Serving children and their families).
  • Enhance the sector’s ability to evidence what works.

What we’re doing

  • Providing direct support and guidance on evaluation to organisations, projects, and teams who support Service children about how to evaluate, gather good data, and mobilise evidence of their success.
  • Conducting investigative projects, Listening Tours, and producing research outputs based on practice-based needs to mobilise evidence.
  • Identifying ‘what works’ to support Service children and championing effective delivery.

The difference this project will make

  • Better understanding of what works to support Service children.
  • Enhanced quality and utility of data collection in practice, funding, policy, and research settings.
  • Better evidence-led decision making across the sector.
