LiNCHigher, Uni Connect Programme

The Uniconnect Programme, LiNCHigher, based at Bishop Grosseteste University, leads the Lincolnshire and East Midlands SCiP Alliance hub. LiNCHigher is a consortium partnership of nine education providers and organisations supporting young people in schools, colleges and community groups across Lincolnshire. The LiNCHigher team, and their partners, provide a range of free workshops and events to schools and colleges, as well as in the community, that explore the different routes into higher education. They cover information on higher education at university or college, higher/degree apprenticeships (locally and further afield) and alternative pathways to help guide and inform young people throughout the process. They also explore the key skills and experiences needed for those different routes. This collaborative project is part of a wider national initiative funded by the Office For Students (OfS) to increase aspirations amongst young people and target particular wards around the country, with the overall aim being to meet government targets of improving access to Higher Education. The Lincolnshire and East Midlands SCiP Alliance hub aims to support service children and their families to progress within education and make informed decisions on their future.
