‘Between Education Systems’ Transition Toolkit. A new resource to support armed forces children moving between education systems

We are pleased to share the launch of the new Between Education Systems Transition Toolkit, a valuable resource created by Defence Children’s Services to support armed forces children moving between different UK education systems.
Developed in collaboration with educators, stakeholders, and partners across each of the UK nations, this toolkit is designed to help both sending and receiving schools manage positive transitions before, during, and after a student's move.
What the resources contain
- Key transitions actions for schools and educators, linked to curated practical resources
- Accessible information about each nations’ education system, curriculums and qualification frameworks
- Routes to network with schools across the UK
The toolkit is free to downloaded now at Between Education Systems Transition Toolkit
Schools are also invited to share how they support armed forces children moving between education systems. Please send these to RC-DCS-HQ-EPT@mod.gov.uk, using the subject line ‘Our Transition best practice’.
