Rachel Wolford, Headteacher, St Gerardine Primary School
Rachel is a Service child, Veterans’ wife and until very recently the Head Teacher of Kinloss Primary School and now the Head Teacher of St.Gerardine Primary School in Moray.
As the Head Teacher of Kinloss Primary School since January 2019, she has been a passionate advocate for the education and wellbeing of Kinloss children, with a particular focus on supporting military families. Her dedication has been evident through her close collaboration with welfare and leadership teams, working tirelessly to ease the challenges of frequent transitions within the Army community. Her commitment has led to the successful acquisition of significant additional funding to support military children, especially during times of deployment.
She successfully completed her Masters in Leadership with a focus on positively supporting educational transitions for military families. In recognition of her outstanding contribution, she was recently presented with the Commanding Officer’s Coin.
The knowledge, skills and understanding of supporting military families she has consolidated at Kinloss, she now transfers to St. Gerardine Primary School in Lossiemouth to be able to support their RAF families with exceptional mobility and deployments.
