Heather Armstrong
Co-Chief Executive, Starcatchers
Heather is an expert in creating children’s rights based training and programmes of work that bring together artists and the early years workforce in Scotland and beyond. She produces ‘Wee People, Big Feelings” working with artists to develop creative approaches to emotional literacy for children age 2-5 in forces families. Heather developed Starcatchers’ Voice of the Baby: In Practice resource, and has been instrumental in setting up knowledge exchange projects with early years practitioners that apply Starcatchers’ research. Prior to joining Starcatchers, she studied Psychology and Theatre, and co-created arts projects with young people in Glasgow in some of the most deprived communities in Europe. She believes in the power of the arts to transform lives.
