A Road Map for Young Carers within Armed Forces Families

Over the last two years Nexus have been talking to young carers within armed forces families, learning about their experiences and how their responsibilities impact on their health, education, wellbeing and opportunities to socialise.

This workshop explores what we have learnt so far, taking you on a young carers journey from childhood, through adolescence and into early adulthood. Via songs, film and stories, you will hear the voices of children and young people who care – discovering more about their unique circumstances and situations.

Together we will examine what changes can be made to improve support for young carers throughout journey.
