Support young people from service families

Help them explore pathways and their identity

For students from armed forces families, Creative Forces Day is a chance to explore university life and their identity as a service child.

What do students experience?

Meeting pupils from similar backgrounds, they'll take an exciting glimpse into the future, looking at pathways and the support available.

Across an action-packed day, which includes a tour around our city campus, taster workshops and interactive group sessions, they'll co-produce a pledge to make a difference for service children in their school community.

What do teachers think of our Creative Forces Days?

100% of teachers from visiting schools in 2022/23 felt more confident using learner voice to inform practice – following the Creative Forces Day.

They also agreed that the Creative Forces Day engaged their students and improved their familiarity with a university environment.

Help shape the future

Creative Forces is part of the national evaluation programme led by the Service Children’s Progression Alliance. The evaluation gathers insights from primary and secondary school children during their visits, particularly looking at their knowledge of and attitudes towards higher education.
