We’re pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar, Transition Is Effective, where we’ll be joined by three expert contributors who will share valuable insights into supporting effective transitions for children and young people from Armed Forces families in and out of schools across Scotland.
This session will explore practical strategies and examples of good practice, with a focus on collaboration between education providers, local authorities, and military-connected organisations.
Our speakers include:

Carolyn MacLeod MBE, ADES National Education and Transitions Officer – Carolyn works with local authorities, schools, children’s services, and the military to enhance policy and practice for children and young people from Armed Forces families, including those from Regular, Reserve, and Veteran backgrounds.
-
Pri Chard, Education Support Officer, The Dandelion Project – Pri collaborates with schools, local partners, and relevant organisations to strengthen educational support for Armed Forces-connected children, ensuring inclusive and informed practice across all settings.
-
Rachel Wolford, Headteacher, Kinloss Primary School – Rachel will share the lived experience of managing transitions in a school with a high proportion of Service children, including practical approaches and lessons learned.
