Finding Service pupil voice through co-design
Workshop Lead: Rosanna Mills
Study Higher’s co-design project foregrounds the service pupil voice, engaging secondary students in creative methods to express their intersecting identities as service children and young people. It prioritises their perspectives over adult interpretations, enabling authentic expression of their ‘whole’ selves.
By listening to and collaborating with pupils, practitioners have strengthened connections and are better equipped to provide tailored outreach to help them thrive. Building on these insights, we aim to co-create a HE resource with older students - designed for service pupils, by service pupils.
Delegates will gain insight into our co-design process and the importance of engaging service pupil voice, participating in creative methods to explore the power of these tools.
